Inspections and Qualifications
Annual Inspection
- Mandated every 12 calendar months for all aircraft types.
- Comprehensive examination of aircraft and engine.
100-Hour Inspection
- Required if aircraft is being operated for hire.
- Similar in scope to an annual inspection.
Progressive Inspection
- For operators with high-usage aircraft.
- Divides the annual inspection into equal parts to be done at specified intervals.
Altimeter and Static System Checks
- Required every 24 calendar months.
- Essential for IFR operations.
Transponder Inspection
- Mandated every 24 calendar months.
ELT Inspection
- Every 12 calendar months.
- Ensures the Emergency Locator Transmitter is functional.
Phase Inspections
- Particularly for jet aircraft like the Cessna Citation or Hawker series.
- Divides the detailed examination of the aircraft into specific phases, each tackled at different intervals.
Gear Overhaul
- Periodic landing gear inspections and overhauls as per manufacturer and FAA guidelines.
Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP)
- Detailed inspection and control program to manage and prevent corrosion.
